Been to Ensenada/Rosarito many/many times, but never by boat.

It was disgusting. The boat was a rusty bucket, and the food was gross. All there was to do was drink. And judging by all the other people on the cruise, that's all they came to do. It was like a floating trailer park.
I seriously looked into getting a ride back to the border from Ensenada instead of getting back on the boat.
Horrible experience.

Sounds horrible. More into a foodie and eco minded trip. Alaska and NW passage also on my list.

Cruise ships are just casinos on the water. You'd be better off taking a jet to Anchorage and hiring a puddle jumper to the back woods and staying in a cabin. It's not economically viable for smaller craft to shuttle people down to Baja.
