I'm planning on moving to SD sometime this year. Me and my husband visited SD last month and we love it, but before I move I would love to have a job first. Is it even possible to find a job while i'm still in NJ? How do I start looking? Should I move there first then find a job? Any advice will help. Thanks.

Also, what area is the best place for rent? We need something that's close to business district, beach and not a lot of traffic if possible.

It would probably be very hard to get a job without being here. You might as well just come on out. If you wait to get a job lined up you may never make the move.

I'm not sure what kind of finance job you are looking for, but I was able to keep a paycheck coming in working for temp agencies while I sought a steady job in the mid 1990's.

Finance is a hard field to find stable work in unless you already had tenure prior to the crash - and even then some companies are just not winging it.
