Anyone know of a local place that I can get a chainsaw blade sharpened? I really suck at it and don't want to kill a bunch of time trying.

Try looking in the Yellow Pages or even searching the net for Saw Sharpening services in San Diego, or even Saw Doctors.
I wish I had an actual recommendation for you but I've never used a service to sharpen mine, but I do know these types of services exist. I hope you find a place.
