Any suggestions for "Best Buger" in San Diego? Also how does In and Out Burger rank?

If I want a "fast food" burger the only place I'll go is In-N-Out (Animal Style)

We wanted to see what the hype with In-N-Out was and it was one of the worst burgers we've ever had. The only thing saving that thing was ordering it animal style. You're lucky if you can even see burger there. If you want fast food, go to Jack in the Box and get the sirloin burger. But if you want the best burger, go to Rocky's in PB.

In N Out is good.Best fast food out there and they are open late.(1 or 130 AM)
Also on the fast food list Fatburger and Johny Rockets are great.
As for sit down places my favorite is Seau's followed by Night And Day Cafe(Coronado)
If you live in or around Coronado you really should go there.I love it.

In-N-Out is good, but the best burger in all of San Diego? To me that's debatable.

There are so many good choices, and it comes down to personal taste. I live in the North County and don't have a true favorite here or down in San Diego, but two that I really like up here are both in San Marcos. George Burgers on Las Posas Rd., and a new placed called The Money Pit on Mission Rd.

Default Hoodads

Last Saturday before they opened, Hoodads had a line twenty deep. I've never seen that place not busy. They are good!

Burger Lounge (also great salads) in Coronado, La Jolla, Kensington

In-N-Out - pretty good, fresh fast food style (I think they don't freeze anything incl. fresh peeled potatoes for fries)

Hoodads (OB) is worth a good mention.

I like the burgers at Islands: fine burgers & drinks (http://www.san-diego-travels.com/Islands.html - broken link) this is a chain restaurant so I can't vouch for every single one in San Deigo, the one in La Jolla is pretty good.
