Before I moved away from California two years ago, I used to listen to Jeff & Jer's morning radio show on my way to work. I always thought Laura Kane was a bit of a train wreck, and wondered why they kept her on the show.

Anyway, the other day I logged onto the Jeff & Jer website just to sort of catch up, and I started reading Laura's blogs (actually, her daily diary), and if I'm getting this right, she just got out of drug and alcohol rehab and is divorced from her husband (I think his name was "Dave")??

Just curious....anybody listen to the program and know what went on with Laura? My curiousity stems from the fact that I always thought she came off as a bit of a desperate and lost soul (paranoid about getting old, a chronic shopper and overspender, irresonsible, a chronic partier, and not a talented radio host). She would stroll in late for the show, admit she was hungover, brag about how she hadn't taken a shower that morning because she overslept, and then proceed to slur her way through the news, etc.

I couldn't understand why they kept her on the show. I assumed Jeff & Jer wouldn't sign a contract with a station unless Laura was hired too.

So I'm curious to know what gives with her?
