Does anyone have information on Catholic schools in San Diego? I have a 2nd grader and a 6th grader who attend Catholic school in Cincinnati and are getting a way above average education and we love their school. It is a fairly liberal atmosphere though. Don't know how I feel about an overly conservative environment. Are the Catholic schools in San Diego known for giving a better education than public? Here it is always a given. We were thinking of living in La Mesa and the public schools there do not seem good from what I have read. I also like the community that comes with a Catholic school which does not seem to happen with public.I would love to hear from both sides on this. We did consider public but would probably have to live in Poway district or maybe Carlsbad?

St. John's in Encinitas has pre school thru 8 grades, but I don't know about La Mesa.
