Socialism.

San Francisco is so ridiculous. They give California a bad name.

This is one "nanny state" measure that I actually support the intent of, as circumcision is bad for kids' physical and mental health and most hetero or bi women in the US like them uncut. I'd have to ask my gay friends as to whether being circ'ed makes a difference but hetero women despise circ'ed male organs. However, circumcision is on the decline in the US as a whole and especially in the Western states and it's better that the government not get involved here. It will probably disappear on its own. So, even though the intent here is good, it isn't SF's business to end this practice (amongst non-Jews and non-Muslims) as much as I really do think it should be ended.

I think there are also definite religious freedom concerns involving banning circumcision - while SF's Jewish population, like the CA Jewish population as a whole, is so super-assimilated that they wouldn't care if circumcision was banned, SF's Muslim population would object. CAIR would assuredly sue the city if this actually got passed for violating the 1st Amendment. Similar religious freedom concerns involving Jews and Muslims killed bills in the State Legislature which would have banned circumcision in California.

San Diego and LA need to try and get a ballot initiative to cut California in half. Then SoCal will have a greater chance to have a say. Right now the only people who have a say are the people in San Fran. Let's show them they are out of touch with the United States...they think they live in China.

LA and SD would never side together on any issue, and LA is closer to SF politically than it is to SD.

Both LA and SD are pro-nanny state, too, so it wouldn't make a difference. San Jose's the least intrusive into personal freedom of any CA city (which isn't saying much)

SD is beginning to go left though, but both LA and SD aren't and never will be communist cities like SF is.

In San Fransisco, It should be all about HIV and the infamous "Bath Houses".
A circumsized penis is a clean and healthy penis and if there's one thing that SF really needs, it's a few clean penises.

Check it out...

This is a very immature inaccuarate, biased post.

You say that women and gay men hate cut male organs. I concur. Based on personal experience, women love it!

Although I think SoCal is too big on this map. Just cut it off somewhere above Santa Barbara. I don't give a crap what they do with the rest.
