So I might be spending one whole day in San Francisco alone. I was supposed to travel with my buddy but he had to cancel. I still have the tickets. I'm an introverted female from Maryland so torn about whether I should go at all. What should I do? Any advice, suggestions are welcome.

I don't understand the question..... are you already on the West Coast? Are you looking to fly out here and back in the same 24 hours? That might be rough, you'll spend more time in airports than anything else. Are the tickets non-refundable?

Honestly, come if you feel like coming, don't if you don't. What's the issue?

I would say yeah come on out. San Francisco is a neat city to spend a day in, especially in the summer when the weather is, like, the reverse of the weather everywhere else in the country.

It's a dense city, but not claustrophobic, there's some nice open areas by the waterfront and the golden gate park. Some neat neighborhoods to take a look at and you can even hike in places across the bay.

I know lots of women that travel alone. As long as you are smart about yourself, you will be fine. You do not have to talk to anyone that you don't have to.

Exploring a city like SF is a lot more fun with someone else along to
enjoy it with you. If you can get back the $ or change dates for a reasonable fee I'd do that. There's plenty you can do on your own
there but if it makes you uncomfortable why do it? Any chance you can come up with a friend of a friend or relative their that could meet up and show you around?

I've always enjoyed traveling alone when I've had to. You can do stuff at your own pace and not worry about other people complaining you're moving too fast or too slow, you can eat whatever you want whenever you want and do whatever you want without having to deal with other peoples' preferences. Traveling with other people can be fun but it can also be more exhausting than when you're alone.

I've travelled alone to SF (from NY or FL) about 5-6 times for various reasons...as a 20 or 30 something female. No big deal. There is so much to take in, see, do and enjoy whether you are sharing it with someone or discovering by yourself. Maybe it will be good for you as it will force you to step outside your comfort zone a bit.
