Does anyone know any places in the Bay Area where someone can escape the summer fog & get some sun and heat?
LOVE SF, but wouldn't mind getting my fill of heat without going to SoCal
Doesn't necessarily have to be "vacation spots".

Get out around 10-12 miles. I.E. Walnut Creek, Concord, Fremont, Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, San Jose, and Livermore are upper 80s and 90s. The much of the Peninsula is around 80. Oakland is typically 75 and sunny. You really don't need to go very far.

Easy, head East!

Just over the East Bay hills it gets warmer but if you like real warmth then to the Central Valley you go. Check out Sacramento for a change of pace if you are interested in hot weather. Lots of fun stuff to do there and it is nice to sit out on a patio for dinner on a hot Sacramento night.

Gotta go east to get to the areas of the bay where 70% or so of the days during the year are sunny.

The North Bay is nice....Napa and Sonoma counties get sunny and warm without the brutal heat of the Far-East Bay or Sacramento.
