It needs big public spaces/square close off to car traffic, like the Stroget in Denmark. It lacks bicycle infrastructure like real cycle paths similar to the thoroughfares for cars. It needs better nicely landscaped parks. The natural beauty of SF is not enough when you are in it. The parks in Europe are just gorgeous (check out Keukehnof Park in The Netherlands). Like everyone was saying on here, it needs much better mass transit and reduce the number of homeless people. Well none of this will happen in my life time when no one is willing to pay more taxes.

I definitely don't look down at you but buying organics helps the soil and the chickens have a better life, not to mention you are reducing your chance of having cancer.

lol bunch of weirdos here.
Not going to address the weirdos comment other than to say - check your facts before calling anybody names. Denny's food providers are Cargill, Nestle, Tyson, Unilever to name a few, not exactly exactly your average mom'n'pop shops.

Who needs Chain "Resturants"
This. And who need a theme park?? SoCal has Disneyland, let's keep it that way. SF is a jewel just the way it is.

How could the transit get any better, short of building a subway? It has lots of pocket parks, like NY. It has more parks than you'd think, if you know where to look. But ok, a city can never have enough parks. Still, GG Park is gorgeous, and it's closed to cars on Sundays. Real estate is so expensive in the city, it would be hard to take land away from housing or commercial use to give it to a park. There's the Presidio. There's Twin Peaks. There are parks around the financial district, hidden around. Get a book on walks in SF, and you'll find out about the parks.

Modern buses that actually run on time and at a decent speed. I know rail is expensive but Bus Rapid Transit could improve PT a lot in SF for much cheaper.

Get a scooter. SF is small enough that most trips will probably be faster than the same by bus.

1. More 24 hour business and restaurants (specifically the piers to stay open)
2. More Denny's, Ihop, and Innout somewhere in the city center (TL, SOMA, MARKET, UNION SQUARE, EMBARCADERO)
3. A theme park would be nice and with all the open space in this city im sure there would be room
I agree with #1 (I definitely would like more 24 hour businesses)
I disagree with #2 (one of the reasons I left Florida)
I am neutral with #3 (Great America & Six Flags)

I would add:

1. More night life options with longer hours
2. Crackdown on homeless in parks
3. More street food
