Hoping someone here can help me with restaurants. I will be in San Francisco at the end of the month, along with a few people from Spain. Spaniards like to eat really, really late, so I'm hoping someone can help me locate a couple restaurants that stay open past 10 pm, hopefully past 11.

My sister lives in Tiburon and says all restaurants close at 10, but she doesn't get out much, LOL.

Also, cuisine/price not really an issue, I'm just looking for decent food that stays open a little later.

TONS of restaurants in San Francisco are open past 10pm, especially downtown... it's just a short drive from Tiburon, so you might want to come here! Not sure what type of food you like, but here are a few suggestions -
Mel's Diner (a few locations around SF, including Lombard st. & Van Ness near Sutter) is open at least until 1-3am, depending on the day.
Bagdad Cafe on Market in the Castro, open 24 hours Thursday-Sunday, and very late on the other days.
Cha Cha Cha, a Cuban tapas restaurant - one location on upper Haight and another on Mission, both open until midnight or so.
And of course, you can always find a 24-hour IHOP (International House of Pancakes) or Denny's!

Is it really?? I've been wanting to go there forever, but the one on Van Ness looks closed after 10-ish... and parking in the earlier evening is a b--ch in that spot. Now I know where to get Indian food late at night - thanks!

Many late restaurants in SF. All over the Tenderloin, for example. NOPA on Divisadero in the Western Addition is open until twelvish usually.

Default Poleng Lounge

Poleng Lounge, Northern Panhandle, corner Fulton and Masonic near USF, is open late for dining Sunday thru Thursday 5:30pm - 1am with the full menu offered the whole time. They are closed on Mondays though. Great 3 star caliber food available until 1am.... Hard to beat.

Is Jack London Cafe still open at Broadway and Embarcadero in Oakland? Ms. Kelly serves some of the best catfish I have ever had--24 hours per day. The fried chicken puts the Colonel to shame.
