I think you misunderstood my posts. I believe it's outrageous for ANYONE living in ANY CITY in the entire world to
WANT MURDERS TO INCREASE thinking that since the majority of murders occurs between criminals, the innocents caught in the crossfires are okay. Does that make sense? It's not about Oakland, it's about Montclair's attitude that more murders are good.

As far as the council members, I don't have much confidence in these new members (Lynette Gibson's "economic justice".....whooooo boy) as I didn't vote for any of them. But one thing was for certain, all incumbents had to go. Sadly, this wasn't possible for the At-Large seat.

I too don't have much confidence in the incoming council members. Not that their ability is in question, but I think the problems they are going to have to tackle are simply too enormous for them to do anything in the short term. This could take multiple generations before there is a noticeable effect.
