Hi everyone, my brother and his partner live in Novato. My mom also lives with them and requires 24x7 care. I would love to give them a gift that would get them out of the house for the day as life has been taking care of parents for years. SIL would stay with mom for the day. I would love to send them to Calistoga where they met however I do not think they would leave her for a day and night.

Your family sounds so loving.
You could get them a gift card for a restaurant in Bodega Bay. It would be a nice drive and they wouldn't have to stay over if they didn't want to. It's a great little getaway. This is the area where the movie, "The Birds" was filmed and it hasn't really changed that much.
I'd suggest a restaurant, but I haven't been there in years.
