Technically correct, but probably not the most influential. She was the only women house speaker, which is third in line to be president.

But I judge people based on the content of their caricature, not gender, so she is a whack job.

I think she is far better than Boehner, but that is faint praise I guess. Could you elaborate about specific reasons you believe she is a "whack job"?

Generalities and name calling are easy. A fourteen year old child can do that. No intelligent person is impressed by that sort of silliness...whether done by the right or the left!

She got busted for a form of insider trading. Using her knolwdge as speaker to get in on certain stocks.
Insiders: The road to the STOCK act - 60 Minutes - CBS News

They ended up passing the STOCK Act because of her

That and how she wanted to ban the word "hate"

Neither rises to Pelosi's stature politically. What did Hillary Clinton accomplish? Not much. Condoleeza Rice was pretty much just a neocon mouthpiece. Pelosi accomplished one of the cornerstone liberal goals, healthcare reform, and she has come closest to actually being president.

It can be argued that the same health care reform cost the democrats control of the house. You can judge what was more important.

She has been closest to the president, but for her to get it the president and vice president would have to pass away at the same time (which has never happened thank god) so I would put more weight into relevance of someone in power then where they are on the line of succession. I believe that both Hillary and Condi were more influential than Pelosi.

I hardly think so, how about Dianne Finstein or Hillary Clinton? Nancy got elected to the house many years ago and like most house reps will remain there til she decides to retire. That does not make her the most powerful woman in America by anymeans, whether you like her, support her or dispise her. and to anyone who really thiinks she got Obama though, it takes more than one perosn, not to mention, the majority of Americdans still think it was a bad bill and are just beginning to see tha down side of it.

That's a good argument against having women in political office.
