Not too many details in this article but if they are serious and are willing to spend half a billion dollars as the article claims, I think MLB will be satisfied and Fisher/Wolff need to get on board or sell the team.

I do love that area (Jack London Square). I always thought that was the best area for a ballpark.

Still waiting for a EIR and ceqa. Plus this plan came back at over 800 mil, who is going to cover the extra 300 mil?

Until quan can actually address these obvious issues this article is nothing more than pretty pictures.

It is the best possible location for an A's stadium. I am eager to get more details.

This quote from Matier & Ross means this is more than just talk:
Our source added that the ballpark
backers aren't "looking to jockey for
ownership" of the A's. However, if Fisher
and Wolff aren't interested in the ballpark
idea, we're told, leaders of the stadium
effort will form a new ownership team that
would be ready to step up to the plate.

that entire stretch of waterfront - from Howard Terminal to Brooklyn Basin - will flourish.

Let's not forget that Ellis Partners LLC recently submitted an application to amend its original development plan for one that calls for two 20story housing towers in Jack London Square.

Cranes in the outfield!

This might be about as feasible as building the Niners stadium at Hunters Point. Who's going to pay for all that cleanup, and how long would that take?
