You've lived in SV for how long, that you have such deep understanding of the place?

I have lived in the Bay Area all my life. I can't stand it. The City is too cold and foggy most of the time. I never go over there. The only nice weather is when you get away from the bay.

L.A has nice weather and I think the traffic is better. Everytime I am down there, the cars on the freeway seem to move faster than up here. I even felt that during rush hour! I feel people have more class down there.

The most emphatic way to exemplify a lack of "class," as you mean it, is to state it as you have here.

Just about everything stated here is completely backasswards.

While I personally enjoy and love the weather of SF, I completely see your point. The great thing about the Bay Area (as compared to pretty much any metro), though, is that you can pretty much pick your ideal temperature (basically from 50 to 90) and move to that area of the region. LA sort of has microclimates, but their lower end temps are much higher (too high for me, personally).

I have never once felt LA's traffic is better than the Bay Area (or really, anywhere!). What days of the week were you driving? How many days did you spend there? What areas of LA were you in? I've encountered traffic pretty much any day of the week there, but it is certainly better on the weekends there (especially really early on Sat/Sun). Other than that, it's always been an awful experience for me. LA is the only place I've been where I've been stuck on an interstate in a traffic jam at 12 AM for no apparent reason (no construction, no "game being let out", nothing obvious...). I'm sorry, this is just not true.

The Bay Area doesn't have great traffic (especially on the notorious sections of highways, such as 880 between Fremont/238 interchange, areas of 101, 80 coming through Berkeley through the MacArthur maze), but outside of the rush hour times (7-9/10 in mornings, and 3-7ish at night), driving in the Bay Area on the freeways is a complete breeze compared to LA.

What does this even mean? I don't get what you mean by this.

More class, No wonder the porn industry is in LA. Real classy. Since you're big on generalizing millions of people I'll do the same.
