Your annual income doesn't need to equal the cost of the house. The sex worker's issue might be proof of income, not level of income.

Default You Might Still be Eligible for Unemployment!

Hi, JamieCor:
I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this. I know how it feels, and it's scary stuff. I just wanted to chime in to let you know that you might be able to collect unemployment after all. I noticed that you mentioned you were a contractor, and therefore, not eligible for unemployment insurance. If you were a W-2 contractor, you're definitely eligible. Even if you were a 1099 contractor, you might have been illegally classified (which is very common these days), and therefore, still eligible for unemployment (and back pay, among other things). Check with the IRS, and prior to doing that, check out this IRS checklist and AskaManager article to see if you were illegally classified. For instance, did you have a supervisor? A regular schedule? Did you invoice the company for your work? See below for more information:

IRS 1099 Guidelines: https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small...ed-or-employee

Ask a Manager: "What to do When your Employer Illegally Treas You as a Contractor": what to do when your employer illegally treats you as a contractor

Good luck!

Middle class people are not buying the homes there now. You also seem to have ignored my other points.

Well, one of my former employers is always hiring.

If you volunteer for submarines, which is what I did, be prepared to lose a lot of sleep and do a lot of dangerous and classified missions.

You can put lipstick on a middle class home but it's still 1500 square feet. They're not 4000 square foot Victorians

btw you don't have to own a home in order to not be homeless. If you're renting a room, you're not homeless.

I made more in the Navy. When I got out I was an E-4, I made $1800/month. Today, E-4 pay is $2046 per month. And they pay for your food and housing and medical care, that's free.

County clerks make that biweekly. That's not even half enough for a mortgage for a middle class home. That's barely a monthly savings/mutual fund contribution
