What is going on out there in those Bay Area streets nowadays?

Pretty funny. Was she expecting the cops to come chase away street vendors? Like they don't have anything better to do?

It was funny how all of a sudden she decided to run away when he started saying "wonder what company she is with." Like she realized she was supposed to be somewhere working and now she's busted LOL. She sure decided to get the heck out of there in a dang hurry. Funny.

I wish the city and other cities made it easy to get permits for street vendors. It's good for the community in my opinion. It makes walking around more fun as well. Gives people an opportunity to make money as well. If they made a price cap limit like any one item must be less than $20 or something like that, it would be fine that way if it's junk that falls apart, it's no big deal. It also prevents people stealing expensive items and selling them.

Don’t you live in Orlando which is just chain stores and strip malls surrounded by a sea of McMansions?

White privilege being used by people that can't mind their own business to harass minorities trying to make an honest living by working for themselves. Something about historically underrepresented and discriminated classes of people trying to make headway and gain some power today just clearly bothers some people to the point that have to quell that power by any means.

Just seen another video of a chinese dude getting slapped by a drunk old white guy on Bart.

Pretty scary that these folks are emboldened, even in the bay area. The republican party is dying and is flopping around like a dead fish that got pulled out of water.

As baby boomers age and continue lose control of their mental stability, expect to see more.

Maybe the Repub party is dying in that cesspool called SF and evil is ruling that city but There's a lot of people in other states and D.C. That would disagree with you

DC is a liberal stronghold. Republicans have not won a popular vote in ages and will not ever again. In 20 years they will be gone and the only parties will be Democrats and Socialist Democrats.

One thing I noticed after my first couple of visits to SF was that there is thinly-veiled racism from the so called "liberals". Even if it's unintentional/subconsciously and not as deliberate as what you'd see in the South, it's there. I went to a restaurant and the guy working the register assumed I was a taxi driver because I was wearing a t-shirt with a Nigerian flag on it. I thought that was hilarious and told him what I really do (as his co-worker laughed at him for asking a dumb question). Another time, a waitress assumed my party didn't have money for a good tip and passed her table off to a waiter. That waiter got a great tip and the restaurant a bad Yelp review (which they responded and gave us free food at our next visit and said they'd have additional training so our situation won't happen again). It's quite interesting to see these things coming from an area that's supposed to be very open, but at the end of the day people will be people no matter where you're at.

This incident, as well as the others in the Bay Area which have been in the news recently, suggests to me that our biggest problem is simply way too many onerous laws here. People should not be harassed for having a BBQ or selling a bottle of water. However, our lawmakers have enabled this type of antisocial behavior by passing all sorts of "feel good" laws and bans. If none of these ridiculous bans and regulations existed, there would be nothing for our local busy-bodies to call the police about.
