Hi everyone-

I'm graduating from college (in a few weeks!) and starting work in SF over the summer. What would you all recommend for a single, just-graduated-from-college male? I've only spent a little time in the Bay Area, but I very much liked Berkeley/Elmwood/Rockridge when i visited last fall.

I have a car, and while I enjoy nightlife, I'm not going to be going out 4 times a week.

Which neighborhoods in SF would you recommend? What about Berkeley or Oakland? I can probably afford to spend up to 1200 a month, and I'm willing to share an apt with a few other people.

Thanks!

get a room in sf. look on craigslist for roomates, pay attention to access to downtown (walking, muni) and the type of people that you'd like. that'll put you in the right hood. Rooms are typically $800-$1000 in SF, the higher-end being some really nice places.

"A room" - is this the same thing as a studio?
