Cops make 200k in the bay if they have moved up in rank and pulled crazy over time. That's definitely not a standard pay for an officer or deputy. Maybe someone that has been a sergeant for years and pulls 100 hours a pay period.

Base pay for officers in the Bay is more like 110k-140k without over time. And considering officers work nights/holidays/weekends their spouses often have to give up their careers to watch the kiddos. I would not want to try to support a family on 140k a year if I lived within 40 miles of the ocean. Hell, I have a hard enough time doing that in Sacramento on a similar amount.
