I currently live in San Rafael and am thinking of buying a house in Santa Rosa. Does anyone know anything about the Sonoma real estate market and if it's planning to go up/down or stay level for a while. I'm clueless about real estate but would like to purchase some affordable proberty. Marin county is just ridiculous. Thanks.

Ridiculous best discribes the entire bay area real estate market. But you will be able to get a bit more for your money here in Santa Rosa than in Marin Co.

My wife and I love it up here! It is so beautiful and I love wine so that helps!

What's your budget?
Have you done the loan thing?
Will you have to sell a house?

So many questions I know but they do need to be answered first!

Santa Rosa is very nice and affordable too. (compared to Marin) There are a lot of houses on the market right now with spring around the corner.

We really like this place, but it is not right for us.
