need help. I like to move to San Francisco, I only make 30k, where are cities or towns I can live with affordable rent and save neighborhood? I take only public transporation - train is better, commute one and half hour to go to san francisco is O.K. Thanks.

Are there opportunities for advancement? If not, you're really going to hate living on that kind of a budget in San Francisco. I only do it because I've lived here all my life. See if you can find a cheap, rent-controlled studio in San Francisco proper, it will save you so many headaches.

Remember to factor in the cost of the train into your budget - you could end up finding it cheaper, not to mention more convenient, to live somewhere closer in with a higher rent. "Affordable" can be tough to find, and is a relative term.
