Hello, me and my girlfriend's 5 year anniversary is coming up and wanted to do something special for her. I'm from Sac and I wanted to do something in the Bay. I wanted to do something scenic and romantic or something exciting and out of the ordinary. Something you wont do everyday. I had thought about hiking through Muir woods for a while and then heading over to point reyes and have a picnic on the beach but also wanted to do something else. Any ideas? I thought about maybe trying to go on a helicopter tour somewhere in the bay. Can anybody point me in the right direction? But like I said, any suggestions about things to do would be appreciated. Thanks!

5 years, what are you waiting for? At this point the only special thing needed to do is ask her to marry you.

Ok, ok!!! I hear you guys.

Maybe he should go on a boat ride. Boat rides are very romantic. I'd skip the helicopter because depending on the time of day you might get some fog and I just don't like helicopter rides.

Haha I know it's 5 years but I'm not thinking about marriage just yet. We're both only 21 and want to be financially stable before even thinking about getting married. She wants to finish school, and I'll be headed the CHP academy. I just want to surprise her and do something sweet for her.

Ok,but don't go hiking unless it is something she really wants to do. 21 yes is too young to be married (but there is nothing wrong with a long engagement), please enjoy your 20's!

I gave a gift certificate to my brother and his girlfriend (years ago) for a "Hornblower Yacht" cruise..They both really loved it and said they'd do it again! I'd give it a go. I like your way of thinking...very sweet! Also want to add (I don't know when your anniversary is) but the clearest nights in the Bay are late Aug, Sept, Oct... for least amount of fog.
