Last week I got on a train from Sacramento to San Francisco. There were no empty booths so I politely asked a pretty, young lady if I could sit in hers and she happily obliged. In short, that was the best decision I have ever made. I have never felt more comfortable, more uninhibited than I did on that ninety minute train ride (we had to stop in Emeryville for a bus transfer). Being the idiot that I am, I forgot to ask her for her number. I got her name, her college, her high school and a vague idea of what street she lives on.

She said she lives on a street with a lot of Asian restaurants but not Chinatown. Among them there are a Burmese and an Indian restaurant. I think she said she lived on or near Haight. Are there any Asian communities near or on Haight? She's a graphics arts major. I think she said that she goes to University of San Francisco. I looked it up, and there are at least three Universities in SF. One's a medical science school, so I can't imagine it having a graphic arts program. Another is a private Jesuit school. She said she transfered from ARC so I don't think she would be able to transfer to a private school. That only leaves SF State. Does anyone know if that has a decent graphic arts program? I know these are a lot of questions but I need to find her.

edit: I'm aware of the people search forum but I need answers from people who are familiar with the city of San Francisco.

A street with lots of Asian restaurants, not Chinatown, with a Burmese restarant sounds like Clement Street.

You might have better luck on Craigslist.

USF is a Jesuit Catholic school that offers plenty. No it's not a school specifically for training priests! As far as I know here is only one campus in the city. I could be wrong.

Sounds like the Clement Street area to me too. Don't know about the Indian place, but Burma Star is there. That neighborhood is the Inner Richmond.

Clement Street is in Richmond? Or are you saying it's as bad as Richmond? Are there a lot of Burmese restaurants in SF?

It's in the Richmond District of San Francisco. This is completely different than the City of Richmond, which is located in the East Bay. The Richmond District, specifically, the Inner Richmond District is relatively safe and quiet.

She said she was going on a cruise during Spring Break in a few weeks. Since she said that two weeks ago, I'm guessing she's leaving this week, presumably this Friday or Saturday. She said the cruise ship will pass through the Tierra del Fuego penninsula of Chile/Argentina. Can anyone help me find any cruises from San Francisco/Bay Area that make any stops in Chile or Argentina?
