Okay, I was able to delete the original post and paste in the revised one, but in doing so I lost the pictures .. .. so I had to leave them in the later post.

Anyway .... Great pictures, dancingearth!!!

Whichever version it is -- it is written well.

Oh, I look like a lot of the older Anglo males in Santa Fe -- but without the expensive haircut.

Well then you must be good looking Devin! There are a lot of good looking men in Santa Fe--very outdoorsy look--I like it. Although the guy with the comb-over that was sitting in front of me today would be much nicer looking without it But to each his own--makes life interesting that we're not a bunch of clones.

Talk about expensive haircuts--I was standing behind this woman who's hair looked like she must have it cut daily. Perfect and a beautiful cut.

Thanks for the writing compliment--I can do it if I work at it. Something else on my list--write more--take poetry classes--creative non-fiction--and on and on. Who invented this 40 hr work week thing? And no one make me grumpy and talk about retirement--don't see that as an option.

Not me in the picture. I woke up too late for pancakes, and instead managed to plant a couple of junipers on my curb. That's it for planting I think this year, I have enough to try to establish now.

Dang. I wasted the day in Taos. I didn't see this post in time. I would have MUCH rather have been in Santa Fe.

I think it was invented by people who had 60 hour work weeks.

And how long ago was that? And isn't it time to revisit it! Sounds like the state of NM is thinking about it--haven't read the details but I saw a few weeks ago they were considering four day work weeks because of the price of gas. I tried to talk one of my bosses into letting me work 4 1/2 days (same # of hours) but didn't get anywhere. By next summer I'll bring it up with the head guy so I can go weave on Fridays at las Golondrinas. Narrow thinkers here. Maybe after a year here he'll realize I know how to manage my time and work.

Increased gas prices just might increase the pressure to adopt 4-day work weeks.

Personally, I'm headed towards a 0-day work week, in fact been on it now for about a year, thinking of returning to 40 hour weeks for a while though. Zero day work weeks go along very well with 7-day weekends, although you never get any paid holidays...
