I currently live in Miami and looking for a change for my family and I. My husband and I are in our late 20's and we have a 9 month old and next year will be trying for another baby. We are born in raised in Miami and we're Cuban Americans. The only reason we would stay in Miami is because of our family and friends but we want a better life for our family. Any suggestions on where we could move to in South Florida within 3 hours of Miami? We would like to be able to drive down often to visit and preferrebly on the westcoast close to the ocean as my father has a boat and would probably like to drive up to visit us as well. I have a background in all areas of Human Resources but I'm looking to find an at home job to take care of my daughter. My husband has experience in the security field, currently a Security Manager at a meseum but is looking to work in a different field but does not have a degree. We are looking to rent in a nice community near good schools. Any suggestions will be appreciated! Thank you!

What grades are you looking at and what would you be comfortable paying in rent?

I was hoping you would reply! Well my daughter is only 9 months so I don't have to worry about that yet but will need to in the future. We were looking for nothing more than $1100. 3+ bedrooms. Not to secluded as we are used to the Miami life but we do want a more small town feel.

You should be able to find something in the Gulf Gate or South Gate areas. Both areas are pretty popular areas with central locations, close to shopping and beaches.

If you could get something in the Southside area that would be great but I'm doubtful you could find something in your range. That's basically south of Main St, west of US 41/Tamiami Tr and north of Siesta Dr.

Even over south Bahia Vista St-Pinecraft, Hyde Park, etc would be a good area to look.

Stringer Management seems to have quite a few rentals lately.

Hope this helps.

Gulf Gate: 34231
South Gate: 34239
South Side Village: 34236 & 34239
Sarasota Springs/Hyde Park: 34232

This is a general guideline. Some areas overlap or fringe on so-so areas but this should get you started.
