We are in FL now, but moving this month to Manatee County. We currently use Tower Hill for homeowners. Does anyone have a great homeowners or renters insurance company they can recommend (one that is writing new policies)? We are looking for a stable company with (of course) the lowest rates

AAA - they represent several different companies and can help you find the best rates. Here is our local number in Port Charlotte. They may be able to help you or refer you to a different AAA. You don't have to have a AAA membership to go through them either.
