You don't need to give the address, but pls give more info. City, County ? Do you have permission from the court so sell? Any entanglements, or clear title?

Are you asking about estate property as in handling the sale of a property after the death of the owner or estate as in high dollar, luxury property?

There are lots of qualified agents in the Sarasota area that have experience handling death of the owner, estate sales.

There is one particular company in town that has a well known reputation for handling high dollar, luxury estate property sales. They are easy to find, and no, I don't work there.

If you're talking estate as in death of the owner, is the property in a trust? If not, does it need to be probated? The first step may be to contact a local attorney that deals in estate planning to advise you. The attorney will likely have a short list of agents they've worked with in the past and can recommend to you.

I agree with Sunshine. A couple of years ago I was on the buyer side of an inexpensive home where the mother had passed away and one of the children was selling the property. The listing agent was a "big name" agent but she had no experience in this area and neither did I. It turned out that there were multiple layers of problems with the sale including siblings who didn't want to sell unless they received a bigger cut. It was a mess. The listing agent thought she understood the process but she didn't, and it took lawyers and a judge to finally sort it all out. We were lucky to be working with a closing agent who did know what she was talking about. She was able to warn me of many of the red flags along the way. Agents are not attorneys and should not be considered as substitutes for them but having knowledge of the process and experience with the potential pitfalls is, in my opinion, an absolute prerequisite.
