September in Sarasota - LOVE IT (Siesta Key: schools, beaches, business)

My family and I moved to Siesta Key over the summer (with the help of one of SoFloGal's colleagues). We are now 3 months into our year long experiment, and so far, I must say, I really like September here. I know a lot of people are still complaining about the heat, but I can definitely feel a change in the air. The nights are a bit cooler, the roads and beaches are A LOT less crowded, and I love it. I suppose if I ran a business, I would feel differently, and be ready for the snowbirds to come :-) That is the one warning I keep getting.... "Just wait until January, where going anywhere takes you twice as long!"

Glad to hear things are going well for you! If you settled pretty close to the village then you'll definitely notice an uptick in traffic. If you're north of the north bridge or south of the south bridge, you won't notice it so much.
