Not sure what to expect; the troop leaders are very vague about activities- the last thing my daughter wants is to sit around and do crafts...she wants to do what they use as their promo talk, hiking, camping, learning about nature..

I was a girl scout as a kid, and LOVED it! I think the experiences will vary greatly depending on the quality of the troop leaders. In general, the troop leaders I personally know are the more nature-loving moms, and that is what you want if you're looking for more outdoor activities and experiences.
