We went there this summer with our daughter and SIL and their boy and friend--
it was a nice experience--
parking lot doesn't hold many cars so have to get there early but keeps traffic on beach kind of light in itself that way

Take it back--not beach we went to--ours not on Anna Maria

It's a great beach...I'm not so sure about the "longest" designation...Can't you walk the beach all the way from one end of Anna Maria to the other, nearly 8 miles...And then on Longboat I believe you can do the same, about 10 miles...We are blessed...

Especially if we have the list of public beach access locations for Longboat Key.

I love that beach and park. When we started coming down here, we often stayed at Bridgewalk and frequented that beach. Bridgewalk is highly recommended, BTW, as a place to stay - full kitchens, large rooms, etc.

Not only the beach, but the paths - the restrooms - the picnic tables - the boat ramps (bay side) and pavilions...are all top notch. It is a special place. Kudo's to the planners for keeping it real.
