We have friend in town for short visit. She loves soft shell crabs. Went to Capt. Eddy's in Venice last night. Not that I pressed with it befor but was closest to the house when we decided to go out.

There is a Japanese place at UTC mall. I had the soft shell crabs and they were exquisite. The food travels around on a track. Fun and delicious.

The beach house restaurant has excellent soft shell crab, but that's on Anna Maria island. If you care to go, it's worth it.
