I've spent a lot of time downtown on weekends mornings and see what you're talking about......lots of homeless around the park across from the Opera House, Starbucks. Lots of nice Mercedes, Lexus, Porsches, etc as well. Such a huge discrepancy between the social classes in Sarasota, it appears. Beautiful place though for the most part. I've enjoyed visiting and seeing the sights, but can imagine it might be a stuggle for the underemployed.
