Anyone have one that works in conjunction with their vacuum that they can recommend?

If you have a pool cage, you only need to vacuum 1 to 2 times a week. The other days, unhook vacuum from skimmer and let skimmer work exclusively.

With the rain we have been getting a lot of gnats and such. Was hoping a skimmer would remedy this

Coincidently I just saw this on a FB ad and it looks like a good idea. I can't vouch for it but it looks like something I would have purchased when I had a pool and a Pool-Vac cleaner.

If you have the extra money to waste then try this. But I'd rather take the time out to undo my vacuum in my skimmer and let the skimmer work on its own. It takes 5 seconds tops to unhook vacuum from skimmer and it's free! But if you are not the industrious type of person then this would be ideal.

That's very industrious of you but the OP asked for suggestions on pool top skimmers which, I assume, he plans to buy. I'm pretty sure he already understands that he can unplug the hose.

Skim around looks like a good idea, but like so much of this stuff, it has a 'ya gotta be kidding' price. But if it saves you work and does away with pool guy, would be worth it.
