snapdragon1 - I have seen videos of abuse and I agree it is very bad - not sure why the woman told me they were not abused - she lived it and her husband was an elephant trainer - she said when she got up to feed her babies - he got up and fed the elephant babies - maybe they were not all abused - so hard to know

Unless you were there, you don't know if there was abuse or not. I certainly don't rejoice in people losing jobs, and animals losing homes. I am a huge animal lover, but I have learned not to believe anything and everything I read and hear.

A lot of people in all areas of life have lost jobs.The circus is not an exception. I think preparation is an important part of life. If they don't have any specific real world non circus skill sets other than juggling or putting on a clown costume, it's on them.
