We have Medicare and up til now have had supplemental group coverage through my retired teachers' plan
That is changing in Jan--moving all Medicare eligible members to a Humana Advantage--high premiums, copays, and deductable
We think we can do better long term (because the issue is lack of funding to group health plan by OUR TX legislature)
Just wondered what MEDIGAP supplemental plans were most in use in this part of FL--
We aren't considering an Advantage plan because we travel between TX and FL too much and many doctors in TX won't take ADvantage plans just like they won't in FL...
So far we haven't really needed serious health care but you never know what might turn up in future...

As much as all of them are spending on television ads, they all must be ripoffs or quite expensive...LOL I've seen more paid commercials on television in the past 3 months than I have seen in the past 3 years combined for some reason...I've seen as many as 5 within one hour. Good luck

That is seasonal advertising since this is normal timeline for making changes to policy choices for 2018
Like Christmas decorations going up after Halloween in stores...
We have to buy our Medigap plan based on our TX zip code since that is our "home" of record but just wondered what policies were more used/common in Sarasota area

Medigap plans only works with original Medicare. Scariest part is what the Senate is planning to do with the tax cut bill they are trying to pass. Hopefully, they don't continue to try and end the mandate. If they do, insurance rates will jump for anyone who has health insurance. Less young healthy people covered - the more for everyone else. As an insurance agent in CA, it scares the daylights out of me since I'm covered under Medicare.
