Between Main Street Sarasota and Venice Ave have such terrible parking anyway that should be quite enjoyable to find spots. I'm not knocking the idea...just imagining the headache to park at either

This is an incredible idea. Venice seems very smart about things. People do need to live due to depression and the psychological aspect of things and not just stop everything knowing that. Well done Venice.

The areas that voted blue in the last presidential election, Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach are still shut down.

We WANT to open back up.

No doubt. Those areas have horrible leadership and it shows. Try voting in better leadership next time around. Wishing you the best.

How do you know who I voted for in the last election?

How do you know I'm a US citizen and legally able to vote?

Barbershops, hair salons and nail salons will re-open in Florida on Monday.

Also opening on Monday in Venice -- the Brohard Beach Paw Park (i.e. Venice dog beach), the Municipal Fishing Pier and Humphris Park at the South Jetty.

Lido Beach in Sarasota remains closed until at least May 15th, the city council voted this week to keep it closed at this time.

What exactly was their "horrible" leadership during this pandemic?

In Miami-Dade, tons of people have been out and about for weeks, more than I ever seen all my years living here.

SO have no idea wtf you are referring to when you talk about Miami-Dade and leadership.

I was not saying you voted in the wrong people. I was saying the area voted in the wrong people and they should trying something better next time. The leadership there has handled Covid the worst of anywhere in the state which is backed up by the numbers. Similar to NYC.

Except in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami Dade counties.
