Good news for area residents who hate having to fly out of Tampa to travel Southwest airlines. According to this report, Southwest is coming to Sarasota in early 2021:

We are part-timers with a condo in Southwest Bradenton, near IMG Academy. This is huge news for us. I am tired of $75 Uber rides back and forth from the Tampa Airport. I just hope the service to and/from Nashville is direct or a reasonably convenient connection.

Great news... good to have options. AA and United both have good flight options from Denver to SRQ, but once we move to Sarasota next year, will be nice to have SWA as an option.

Allegiant only flies two days a week from Nashville to SRQ and just one flight each of those days. Southwest will have two direct flights from Nashville daily to SRQ. So glad to see this happen since we live in Nashville and are part-timers at our condo in Bradenton.
