Is northern Lakewood Ranch good (closer to 64 than 70)? Or should I pay a little more to be south of 70

Technically its not. With the construction of Waterside, LWR is now geographically closer to Sarasota City proper than any parts of Bradenton Proper. Most people myself included just assumed LWR was Bradenton but its not. Its neither but now closer to the city limits of Sarasota with its march towards the south.

The maps answer this question accurately.

https://www.acrevalue.com/plat-map/F...10104&zoom=12#!

Manatee County and Sarasota County are essentially divided by University Parkway where LWR is located, as the map above clearly shows.

Most, but not nearly all, of LWR is located North of University.

Think about what you want to be closer to and why. Are you going to go to Siesta Key or Sarasota City often? Then get closer to them. If not, pick the place that is closest to where you will be spending time.

You got it. I was just correcting the previous poster when they said that LWR was all Bradenton.
It is not Bradenton to begin with, but even then Waterside is in Sarasota county and closer to
Sarasota City limits compared to 64 and Bradenton city.

why do people say Lakewood Ranch is Bradenton? it's no where near Bradenton! Lakewood Ranch is not even close to the city of Sarasota either; do people read maps before they buy a house and move to the area? I talk to people that actually think that Lakewood Ranch is a town as well. It's plainly not a town/city either.
