Top Lakewood Ranch restaurants cited for major food safety violations

I’ve ate at a number of the places cited for violations, which are highly rated, and have been wanting to try some others, however reading this article is quite appalling.

Will these apparent widespread food sanitation issues affect LWR as a whole? I mean one of the selling points for LWR is “great restaurants”.

You can have a restaurant in the hood or in a fancy County Club or that 5 star resort, but whats behind the kitchen doors is just a roll of the dice. I have been in and out of kitchens from all 5 counties and everyday I get surprised which ones I would eat at and which ones I would never consider a reservation with. It always comes down to on site managers or mom and pop owners. Managers come and go so quickly in these places and with each one so does the quality of the kitchen.

FL restaurant inspectors should give a grade and restaurants should be required to post their grade on their door. Food poisoning is no joke.

I tried Hana once and would not go back. Even the floor is sticky from not washing down each night.

I understand completely the challenges in staffing that the restaurants have and that restaurant is a tough business but you'd better have your managerial act together if you want to last.
