Our dishwasher isn’t working—no lights come on when I try to control panel—checked breaker box and nothing thrown—reset KITCHEN breaker (nothing just for DW) but no help there
We usually use Carl’s Appliance but there is msg on phone that it is closed for about 10 days
So need another repair person

Any suggestions? We are in Nokomis

It is a Kenmore Elite dishwasher probably 10-12 yrs old but has worked very well for the 9 yrs we have been been here
So we might need to replace it but appliances are in short supply now and repair parts might be as well

Sears usually will repair an old Kenmore Elite. Just google for their 800 number. The question is whether it is worth the money to fix. But, you might get them to give you an estimate range.

Mullet's appliances in Sarasota. They have a parts department window that is open to the public, they sell appliances and they repair. I have used them for all 3 in the past and was happy. They seem to be fair and they have been in business for a long time.

There are a lot of appliance troubleshooting videos online these days and often you can google your problem and learn how to fix yourself. Sometimes the fix is fairly simple and they have videos that show step by step. They even tell what part#s you need and show how to install the parts.

That dishwasher might have a power plug. Perhaps plug got loose.

Try this -there is a switch that might help per this video. Steps to check:

I should add that Sears Home Services has repair trucks in Sarasota daily. 941-413-0347. I have found them to be very reasonable on Kenmore, not so reasonable on other manufacturers - even those purchased at Sears.

The times I have called Kenmore repair they usually do a certain area on one day of the week vs giving you an available opening

I found place on line with good recommendations—they are coming out Friday AM
Before I saw the recommendation for Mullet’s—

And I thought about the loose plug possibility because DW are never hardwired but my husband doesn’t want to mess with trying to pull it out of cabinetry…
Will just wait for Friday

I called company called Mr. Appliance of Charlotte and Sarasota Co
Was pleased with work—called Wed—came this AM
Called before hand to give me estimate of arrival since was first on his schedule
Took about 40 min—had to replace power cord but we also need electrician to replace the outlet under sink
There was arcing—
All in all I would call this service again If we couldn’t get Carl’s timely…
