This is a listing of upcoming weeks for the weekend. What prices are you talking about?

While many of the events have free admission, some are fundraisers for charity and therefore have admission fees that some may consider expensive. For example, the Food & Wine Fest. I just post the events, it's up to those who read the posts to decide what they consider affordable....or not.

Common sense looking at most of these "events" are indeed ostensibly "billed" as community charities, causes, etc etc, which is offensive to many...why? there is seldom any appropriate and extensive/accurate accounting for their "pet-project" ...i.e. revenue, expenses, SALARIES etc even if they are so-called bonafide 501c3's.....lol.....these "events" have been a staple for scammers here in this region for decades upon decades - especially those that have popped up in Sarasota/county/msa in the last 25 years....it's really funny to watch how the scamsters permeate the "social scene" - same ole actors.

Anyone who has lived here for well over 25 yrs or their lifetime can assert that many of these folks involved in many of these "events" are bogus as a 3 dollar bill.

For example, just ask Dick Vitale how he and his foundation got scammed recently for about 3MM by a fairly new, slick transplant that had a long history in NY.......(no surprise there LOL)

Caveat emptor, yep, even in some of these obviously expensive "events"

Thanks for the info and headsup, we'll pass on most ! The "new meat" arriving here are warned.
