According to this study I don't see I-75 or Hwy. 41 listed as among the three worst roads in FL. However this study ranked the state of FL as the 50th worse state for driving out of 51 states.

The bad driver lookup firm also said Florida was among the top 5 worst states in the country for driving experience, ranked 50th out of 51 total, counting Washington. Only California was ranked lower.

Part of the low ranking among all 50 states and the nation’s capital is from the cost of auto insurance, cost of car repairs, and average commute times, among other factors, according to Find By Plate.

Our population density ranks 8th, & at peak season, it likely swells to 2nd, behind New Jersey.

In 2022 we had 138M visitors to our state...many who are not familiar with our roads.

Florida has the 2nd oldest state population behind Maine. Older drivers drive less, but have slower reflexes, & lower mental clarity.

I see more newer costlier cars here than elsewhere, which have higher values.

We have more highway fatalities than average 1.14 (US) vs 1.41 (FL)

These are likely factors driving up our car insurance premiums.

Don't forget places like Southeast Florida and Orlando, and Immokalee too. Areas with a lot of illegals which tend to be terrible drivers and drive like they're in Mexico or Haiti still.

Here in Southwest FL they're always driving drunk or high. Sure, the old people get into minor accidents a lot in parking lots and such, but the crazy type accidents I see in Lehigh Acres, Immokalee and Miami it's immigrants from countries like Mexico, Haiti etc.

This is not being racist, just stating what I see usually.

very true. we just moved from Utah last year. 1,800 a year. Same company we were going to transfer with quoted 3,400 a year. I shopped around and got it for 2,400 a year. We only have a 2004 truck and 2016 car.
