Hi...we are possibly going to buy a house on 41st avenue east bradenton near lena road. Bit worried now after reading some of the negative posts regarding crime in bradenton, can anyone tell me if its safe around 41st avenue east. thanks

I'm not from Bradenton, but I've heard a lot of negative things about some of the areas there. Other areas, people have said nice things about. I would definitely check back here. Look for posts from Suncoastguy, he knows the area pretty well I think. There has been a lot written on this board about Bradenton.
Good Luck - I'd check back here and get some advice though.

That far east you might be OK crime-wise, but Lena Road is where the landfill is - are you sure you want to live near there? I would think there are many better areas to choose unless you need a specific type property and this is the only one.
As mentioned, Suncoast Guy can probably direct you a bit better as to the good and bad parts of Bradenton - you really do have to be careful around there, but generally if you are that far out (near I-75) you really aren't IN Bradenton, rather just east of the town.
