I'm not talking about the old rotten egg sulpher-type smell the water around here used to be notorious for, but a very strong chemical smell -- almost a metalic smell. I first noticed it in the shower, then when washing clothes and later while doing the dishes. Every time the water was hot of course, so I'm wondering if my tank isn't the problem? It's not filtered as far as I know. OH and I live on the islands if that makes a difference.

It probably would be a good idea to have that tank checked out if it continues. It could be that it has just collected a lot of mineral debris.
