So I was scrolling through the pictures of trip advisor on my Galaxy S4, and it was then I stumbled upon a picture of Savannah, Georgia. Right then and there, I started feeling an urge to come and visit the city one of these days. I am looking to spend some time at the beach. How good would you say the Savannah beaches are?

Savannah's beach is Tybee Island, about 20 miles from the city. It's small. But it goes alllll the way to the ocean. Not pretty and white, as the clay colored water from the Savannah River drains there. Only about one mile of beach.

It's still a nice little beach and not nearly as bad as Mrs. P makes it sound. Tybee has it's own funky little personality and can be quite nice if you catch a summer sunset at low tide. Take a long walk along the north beach or the back river on the south end and you're bound to think it's as pretty as anyplace can be.
