Hello. $1200-1700 house (at least four bedrooms) prefer a sizeable backyard. employed. Will be commuting downtown. Yes. Schools and after school care are important. Suburbs or mixed. would be nice, but not essential. We have cars. young professionals (30-40 yr old working professionals) Renting. Looking to buy in the future, using GI Bill.

Since your wife is interested in Memorial, let me suggest that you look for housing in two nearby subdivisions... Fairway Oaks and Habersham Woods. Start there, and then go else where if you need to. It would be a good place to live while you look for a house to buy.

That or 44th - 60 something streets between Bull St. and Waters Ave. That includes Ardsley Park, though it's a little more expensive. Parkside is also nice, but other that that specific neighborhood don't stray into the areas immediately north, east, or west of that corridor.

Three months ago my nephew got a 4 bedroom on 54th street (3 block off of Habersham) for $1700. Lovely block and his house is directly across the street from a school and ball field. I think...sweet deal.
