PoolerGAJon that Kroger is nice, isn't it. I still like Publix the best for their quality house brands and sales (BOGO baby!) and fill up when I'm there but the 17 Kroger is my main store since it's closest. Yes as to the pharmacy thing it is surprising there aren't more in Pooler. Heck even Berwick's got a CVS and Walgreens.

It makes me feel better that someone else is surprised to see no CVS/Walgreens in Pooler. Maybe sometime soon as Old Downtown & South Pooler Pkwy develop.

CVS should be announcing its store anytime now and the south end should be getting its first grocery store announced as well. No it's not Kroger. The south end is seeing some interest finally but they are going to be filling up the rest of the lots around Tanger first I believe.

It's official. Publix is coming to Savannah Quarters, or at least they're trying.

Makes no sense that Publix would want a second store in Pooler. They have it sewed up in Pooler already, so why go to the expense of another store only about 2 miles away? I don't see that happening.

I'm sure it's less about having two stores in Pooler and more about filling a supermarket void in this part of the County.

The people that shop at the Savannah Quarters store will be from Westbrook, Quacco Road, Pine Barren Plantation, and maybe even as far as Southbridge or Guyton.

Godley Station and the Highlands alone could support the existing store.

Which just begs the question even more why Kroger hasn't already beaten Publix to it with a Savannah Quarters store? Also I don't understand what's taking Target so long.

I believe Target just isn't building as many stores as it once did. It's my understanding they're trying to find a new niche, and they are focusing on smaller, urban stores.

I don't know what's up with Kroger.

And we still have no major drugstore in Pooler, which is very puzzling to me.
