My husband and I are thinking about relocating from South Dakota to be closer to family in Brunswick GA. We have spent quite a bit of time visiting the area and realize that some areas are not so great but we don't need to worry about schools because our children are grown. We are not interested in a cookie cutter neighborhood. Any suggestions of areas to look at for a house or condo? Price range is about $200,000. Love to be on St. Simon Island but don't know if we would be able to afford it. I am a RN and my husband is a residential/commercial painter. How is the job market? Is flood insurance needed? How are the taxes in GA? Family members have been great giving us information but I feel that they are only giving us the pros of moving there and not the cons. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks y'all!

I live in Minnesota and have been looking at property in the Brunswick area. I would also like to know the pro's and con's of living in this area of Georgia.

Pro's and cons? That would be one long-ass list.

The difference between the weathers will be the biggest pro and con both.

Can you deal with the hot, humid summers that we have?
