It will be interesting to see how these plans come together. I still want to see what city does with the canal district and the Savannah River Landings site.

That Canal District could be awesome -- somewhere between San Antonio's Riverwalk and Greenville's renewal of the Reedy River. (Quite spectacular what they've accomplished in G-ville.) Savannah's Canal District would draw tourists and urban pioneers. Savannah is THE hot city in Georgia after Atlanta -- so many cool things are on the way. As an ex-Savannahian, I'm always excited to read about this stuff.

Ditto. The plans are indeed ambitious. The only problem is implementation. The city is notorious for creating these big plans/ideas and not doing the rest of the work.. like listing funding sources and dates for completion. Even in stages. It is a good example of poor leadership.
